Here you’ll find out how to get to the Skogsfesten site and how to behave while you’re there.

How to get here

Skogsfesten is set a little into the forest at Lästviks Säteri in Dalsland. We think you should walk, take your bike or use public transport.

If you get here by car - share your seats! There is a group in the Skjutsgruppen app to coordinate your trip so that each seat is filled!

  • Our great bus-partner “Rättbuss” drive to the festival from Gothenburg and Stockholm, and back again. Buy your Rättbuss-ticket here!

Rättbuss leaves from Stockholm Friday May 26 at 9.00 and from Göteborg Friday may 26 at 18.00. Back again on Sunday. OBS: If you want to go both there and back, remember to buy tickets in each direction.

If you go by ordinary bus the nearest bus stop is called "Lästviks säteri", where you can go with Västtrafik.

From Lästvik Säteri it is a 30 minute walk to the festival area. During the festival we usually drive shuttles from there to pick up your supplies (and you, if we have room for it) as often as we can.

If you have small children, have functional variations or for some reason want to make sure you can get a lift, just send us a mail a few days before so we can fix this for you!

  • At Lästvik Säteri you will find the parking if you are arriving by car. Parking fee is paid when you arrive and pick up your festival tickets. The money goes to our farmer friend who helps us with a lot of things.

No cars are allowed to drive up to the festival area, you can't turn around or meet in a good way, and the few places we have are reserved for artists, organizers and those who have a need that demands a car. This is also very important if emergency vehicles would have to drive up to the festival site.

The festival site

Skogsfesten takes place in the middle of a forest and, unfortunately, we've got limited availability. We are constantly working to make the area more enjoyable for everyone, and of course it also includes accessibility.

If you have any questions or tips regarding avaliability, please feel free to contact us at info@skogsfesten.se.

This year the area will look very different to those of you who have visited us before. Large areas around the festival site that were previously forest have now been felled. We will try to work as best we can together with artists to activate the kalhygge and make the area as pleasant as before despite this.

  • We usually have a camping area, but you can put your tent up where you like. We have simple outdoor toilets in close connection to this area. Now, due to the kalhygge, we need to figure out where you best put up your tent, since the ground is very uneven at the regular camping area. We’ll figure something out before you arrive!

If you're planning to come with an camper van, send us a mail and let us know a few days in advance so we can plan for it. The number of places for camper vans are very limited, so let us know in time if you want to be sure of getting a spot. Same parking fee as for cars.

  • We cook food in cans that you can pick up for a little fee when you come to the festival and return when you go home, then you also get the money back. The price for food is not quite certain but you will be satisfied and happy for a small amount of money.

In Klanthandeln (our kiosk/bar) you can buy snacks and good drinks such as folk beer, kombucha and bubbling bubble drinks. Everything is sold in glass bottles with cork that you have to pay a fee for and then can use the whole festival and then return and get the money back.

You can also cook your own food at a dedicated cooking area.

  • Bathing is down by the lake a little walk from the festival area. Remember that soap, shampoo and shower cream aren’t always nice to the water and the animals that live there, so choose something that is made from natural resources!
